We got to know Dilli and Susann through a friend's recommendation and decided to go on a 9-day trek in the Anapurna region with Happy Himalayan Treks.Dilli and Susann were great from the first contact via email. They helped us design the right itinerary and answered all of our questions about process, gear and other details. When we arrived in Kathmandu they welcomed us in their home like friends. We had a short but lovely time getting ready for the trek and getting to know the family over chats and food around the fire on their terrace. We went on the trek with our guide Raj, who was super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and flexible. He even re-designed the last few days of our route so we could visit some amazing hot springs to get a relaxing soak at the end of our trek. We always felt safe and comfortable with Raj. We shared lots of interesting conversations over dal baht and a glass of local wine. The trek itself of amazing. We had beautifully sunny weather most of the times with great views of the Anapurna and Daulaghiri ranges. We started our on the more popular Ghorepani/Poon Hill route (enjoying both sunset and sunrise on Poon Hill) and then moved on to a lesser trodden path up to Kopra Danda. At this time of year, it felt like we had the hills to ourselves, trekking in peace and quiet, enjoying the marvelous views and nature around us. The climb up to Kopra was strenuous, but we took it nice and slow and it was absolutely worth the views. We only had a short two week visit to Nepal this time, but we will definitely be back for more and longer trekking... and to see our new found friends again. Thank you, Dilli, Susann and Raj for making this trip so wonderful.
