Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 2 Flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu – trek to Salleri
A 35 minutes flight brings us to Phaplu, we have time to visit the local market and the Chewang Monastery, after a 30 minutes’ walk, we arrive in Salleri.
Day 3 Salleri to Dorpu and Ghunsa
We will pass through Tamang, Magar and Sherpa settlements and having beautiful mountains view.
Day 4 Ghunsa to Kerung and Pattale 2'840 m, Monastery
It is a long day of trekking from Ghunsa towards Kerung and Pattale. In Kerung we can visit the stupa and Buddhist monastery. From the camp we can enjoy a great panoramic mountain view.
Day 5 Pattale to Jhapre 2'820 m, Monasteries
On the way we are able to see wild orchids and we will have a beautiful view along the Solu Okhaldhunga border. In Jhapre are monasteries and a Buddhist Stupa.
Day 6 Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp 3'640 m, Monasteries
The vegetation is changing; from here you already can see Himalayan flora and fauna. In this area we can find centuries old monasteries, Buddhist Stupas and Mani stones and we will pass yak herding at different places. This particular region is also used for marathon and mountain bike race.
Day 7 Pikey Base Camp to Junbesi
The trail goes via Pikey Peak. We wake early to enjoy the sunrise view above Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri including Everest. After we crossed Pikey Peak we walk down through an unique landscape of Junbesi valley.
Day 8 Junbesi to Thuptenchholing andJunbesi (Monastery)
On the way we can observe the wildlife and in Thuptenchholing we have the chance to see the traditional Tibetan medicinal therapy and visiting one of the biggest monastery in Nepal the Thuptenchholing Monastery.
Day 9 Junbesi to Phaplu
Day 10 Flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu
Day 11 Departure
