Annapurna base camp trekking has been my first hiking experience and Happy Hymalayan Treks helped me to make it memorable. Sandip, my young guide,has been a great guide. We had a lot of fun together and he has always been very kind, nice and helpful. He helped me to carry staff when I was tired and he always made sure that everything was okay. I asked him if he could find good and cheap lodges on the way and he did. He knows very well the trail and gave me many information regarding the mountains and the villages we encountered during the path. We spent nine days together and everything has been fine.  We had a great experience trekking the Langtang trek wirh our wonderful guide Ashok.He was knowledgeable, attentive, positive and caring.The experience of organising the trek with Dilli and Susan in the office was a pleasure. They were friendly and flexible, working with our schedule and ideas.Overall they organized a great trek that was also competitively priced.

The task to find the right trekking agency is a big one. Especially in Thamel, you can find more travel agencies than you want to decide between. It’s quit difficult to find a good agency with high-quality service and fair offers. With Happy Himalayan Treks you take the best decision!We came here and felt welcomed like nowhere else! This lovely atmosphere while we were talking about the possible itineraries with a cup of milk tea was the important difference we needed compared to the several agencies we had checked out before. They wanted us to take the time we needed till we decided. The offers were that fair, we didn’t even think about bargaining - a big difference to other agencies. We came back the day after we met Dilli and his wife Susan first to talk one last time about our possibilities. Spontaneously, our trek started right the next day with our guide Santa. The agency helped us to organize all the stuff we needed (e.g. permits, sleeping bags, waking sticks etc.). We had a cozy stay at Dilli’s and Susan’s home the night before we left. During 11 days of trekking to Gosaikunda & the Langtang area, next to the amazing natural experiences, we want to give thanks again to Santa for his great behavior! We had funny and serious situations as well - every time Santa found the right words to say and did the right things to help. He was a caring, entertaining and pleasant travel mate, we didn’t want to miss. Thank you so much for this great experience we could share with you! You are awesome!One last thing I really want to mention is the fair payment policy Dilli and Susan are supporting; Porters and guides get the same salary. Especially, when you got the possibility to see the tough work porters have to do and how it looks like if they are carrying ways to much weight, you will understand the importance of it. Tourism shouldn’t exploit humans - Happy Himalayan Treks supports this in the right way! (They collect donations for a school project, too!! They weren’t asking for donations, but we heard about it casually. Just in case someone is interested to support local projects, in my opinion it is the best way to do so.) We already recommended the Swiss Management in the mountains and we will continue to recommend it in the future.We wish wonderful and safe trekking experiences to everybody!

I had extremely accomodating experience with Happy Himalaya! Greeted with smiles and tea the planning process for our Manaslu adventure couldn’t have been easier. Once on the trail our guide Deepak become not just a trekking partner but a friend. His knowledge of the land and local communities made for interesting talk, although it was his humour that really made this trip special. Cannot recommend enough!

 A fantastic trek around the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley with 5 Australian friends and our amazing guide Deepak!Dilli and Susan were great at HQ in Kathmandu with organisation and helping transport our things from Kathmandu to Pokhara whilst we were on the trek! As well as helping us with non-trek related admin like visas ect!Deepak was an amazing guide, I could not recommend him more! Amazing knowledge of local areas and Nepal, always having fun and getting involved in the group banter and made life at the tea houses very easy!

10/10 experience. Had a wonderful 3 week trek through the Tsum valley and Manaslu region. Quickly formed a strong friendship with my guide Depaak who made the journey that much better! Couldn’t recommend enough. Thanks again!
